ENEA - the Italian National agency for the new technologies, energy and the environment, is a
leading agency in innovation technology research and energy - environment policy development,
having a staff of around 4000 people. It’s nine major research centres are located at different cities
all over Italy, coordinated by its headquarters in Rome.
The legislative decree for ENEA reorganisation of 29/1/99 has provided ENEA with legal status of
public right in order to pursue research and innovation for the development, competitiveness and
employment, together with the environmental protection; it also carries out activities aimed at the
support of public authorities. |

ISNOVA (Istituto per la promozione dell’innovazione tecnologica) is a non profit Company,
founded by ENEA (Ente per le Nuove tecnologie, l’Energia e l’Ambiente), who owns 33,3% of its
capital, and by three Italian financial service companies: Servizi Interbancari-CartaSI, SITEBA, SSB,
each owner of 22,22% of its capital.
ISNOVA is today staffed by 15 full-time personnel units, and avails itself of a network of part-time
experts and consultants. The company has been founded with the aim at stimulating the
development and disseminating new technologies, and in general to foster innovation, in
particular referring to the specific needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). |

FINCO, the Federation of the products, plants and services industries for the building sector,
established in 1994, FINCO is the national federation within Confindustria, representative of the
industries of the products, plants and services industries in the building sector. FINCO is thus a
young but strong industrial association of, at present, 15 national sub-sectoral associations
adhering to Confindustria, representing more than 6000 firms and 500,000 employed people.
FINCO gathers the main manufacturers in the sub-sectors like steel and steel construction,
building materials industry, electronic & electro-technical industry, plant installers, construction
components. |

CRES, the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources, is the Greek national centre for Renewable
Energy Sources (RES), Rational Use of Energy (RUE) and Energy Saving (ES), instituted as the
national coordination centre in its areas of activity by the Law 2244/94 (Production of Electricity
from RES) and 2702/99 (Various Regulations). CRES is a public entity, under the supervision of
the Ministry of Development, General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT); but with
financial and administrative independence.

EBHE is the Greek Solar Industry Association. It was formed in 1979 and currently has 18 members
(plus 3 associate ones). All 18 EBHE members are manufacturers of solar thermal systems, while
among the associate members there are research institutes working on renewable energy (such as the
National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos", and the Greek Center for Renewable Energy
Sources - CRES).
EBHE is aiming at promoting solar energy both on the national as well as the international level. It also
guarantees that all its members follow the highest international standards in the manufacturing
process of solar thermal systems, so that the customer enjoys the maximum benefits of solar energy.
EBHE is a founding member of the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF). |

ADEME, the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management, is a public institution of an
industrial and ommercial nature. It was created in 1991 through the merger of three pre-existing
government agencies. ADEME is closely involved in the implementation of environmental and energy,
and contributes to France’s compliance with international commitments. It also plays a role in
sustainable development and the fight against climate change. Its mission is to reconcile economic and
social development with environmental protection at both the local and global levels. |

ZERI,
Zhejiang Energy Research Institute, located in Hangzhou of China, is an state-own organisation
operating in the field of energy in China. Its activities focus on energy research related to policy study
and technology/project evaluation, development and dissemination of innovative energy efficient and
renewable energy technologies, and advanced energy training as well as publication of a bi-monthly
energy journal “Energy Engineering”. As a Chinese energy research institution, ZERI has qualified
staff with rich experience not only energy specialization but also international cooperation, which
provides a prerequisite to this proposed project to be done well. |

CBEEA, the China Building Energy Efficiency Association, is a nation-wide and non-profit
organization, set up in 1993 with approval by the Ministry of Construction (MOC) of China. It involves
memberships from research and technical development institutions, design agencies, housing
developers, constructors, materials producers, supervisory agents, universities and colleges etc. in the
field of architecture, on a voluntary basis. It includes specialists, industrialist and decision makers
around China who are engaged in the area of building energy conservation. |

SEC, Sofia Energy Centre, is an independent energy consultancy company established as a successor of
European Community Energy Centre Sofia. SEC has gained a lot of experience in the field of different
EU energy programmes implementation in Bulgaria, such as PHARE, SYNERGY, SAVE, THERMIE
and ENERGIE projects and actions. The main fields of activity are thematic promotion, information
dissemination and assistance in market penetration of EU energy efficient and environmentally
friendly technologies in Bulgaria and in the Balkans. During 1998-2002 SEC was consequently
coordinating FEMOPET Bulgaria (a Fellow Member to the Organisations for Promotion of Energy
Technologies) and Balkan OPET Consortia. SEC was also taking part in OPET Buildings, OPET
CHP/DH and OPET Clean Fossil Fuel Clusters (2003-2004). A large part of SEC activities has been
directed towards promotion of rational use of energy and wider utilisation of renewable energies in the
building sector, in order to support sustainable development of the society. |

GPREC,
The Hellenic Public Real Estate Corporation was established in 1979 and works
as a self financed, autonomous government organization. Although the Ministry of Economics
holds HPREC's shares, the company functions free of the Civil Service authority. HPREC's main
activity is the management, administration and development of the Greek State's property
portfolio, aiming at maximizing these property assets. |

DTI, Danish Technological Institute, develops and mediates technological progress for the good
of trade, industry, and society in general. Every year more than 13 000 enterprises or
establishments become customers at the Danish Technological Institute in areas such as trouble
shooting, development and technological innovation.
Danish Technological Institute builds up, maintains and disseminates knowledge and services
resulting in improved competitiveness, feasible use of resources, better employment and
qualifications as well as a reduced cost load for society and enterprises.
Our products include services such as consultancy, testing, development, certification, information
and teaching. Every single year, more than 17 000 students take part in the courses and conferences
offered by the Institute in Denmark and Sweden. |

BI, the Building Materials Industry, its creation is aimed to establish a framework for professional
collaboration among colleagues in relation to construction products.
BI comprises approx. 300 businesses and is thereby the largest market-oriented industrial organisation
within our field in Denmark. It is the business' shared interest and needs for the production and sale of
goods for the building and construction sector which form the foundation of BI's work.
Producers and suppliers of construction products automatically join BI via membership of the
Confederation of Danish Industries. Importers or agents for foreign producers can be direct members
of BI and at the same time benefit from the services provided by the Confederation of Danish
Industries to its members. |

AIMCC, a horizontal organization representing the French building products industry: having 100
professional organizations as association members, covering all the product sectors, represents
7000 building sectoral companies for more than 220 employees. Meanwhile AIMCC is one of the
French national member of the CEPMC (Council of European Producers of Materials for Construction) |
